Episode 1: To be a seller

“To be brave and clever” is a concept of this first series of the contest. I was a seller who sold souvenirs of FRIEND organization. First of all, I intend to give some information of FRIEND organization.

This NGO, its aim to help street children and youth, who addict drug or live on the street, moreover they assist poor communities which family standard is in anarchy. How does FRIEND org help? Of course, they teach those poor communities with easy job and catchable lesson. They use the recycle things like thrown-away newspaper, condoms etc. They use this kind of products to make a new-idea products. In addition, there are too many classes for children and youth whose families are poor. Most of these classes are technical classes, mechanic, electronic, cooking, haircut, beauty salons class for youth. And there are some classes which teach lesson to children and youth as well.

How can I help FRIEND org? I took FRIEND souvenirs from Toul Tom Purng market in order to sold these kinds of products to people. In my team, I divided into two team which had four people for each. I sold souvenirs around Kandale, Central, and Soriya market. I used COMMUNICATION skill in order to lobby people to buy those souvenirs. There was a hard task for me because I have not had enough experienced to be a sale person. Even though, I met that trouble but I did my best job. After selling, my team and other team gave all money, maybe around $300, to FRIEND’s CEO with extra money, maybe around $600.

we are dancing with children!!!!

we gave money to FRIEND org

What have I learned from this episode? Before, I had never to be a sale person on the street. This was my great new experiences that improve my communication skill, to be brave and clever.
